Now even more improved for your showing pleasure. These classes will run like regular halter classes, and there is a limit of 3 models per class, per person (with the exception of the AAA challenges). The Challenges we are offering this year will include: The Breyer Challenge - for the fired Breyer! Class will be split into horses with tack, and horses without. (Please no cross entering with the “Horses with Stuff”class). The Cheval Challenge - for all those charming chinas from South Africa Art Glaze & Etc… a class for all of your horses of a different color- enter your bisques and art-glazed horses here! (Will be split between Bisque/White and Art Glazed) Horses with Stuff - the class for horses with riders and/or tacked horses- but please no cross entry with the regular OF halter classes! The Pour Horse Challenges (sponsored by Pour Horse) -3 classes, one for OF, CM , & minis The Lucas Studio Challenges (sponsored by LucasFrancis Studio)- 2 classes, one for OF, one for CM. The Lynn Fraley Challenge (sponsored by Laf’ N Bear) - for ceramic horses sculpted by Lynn Fraley. The Made With Love Challenge (sponsored by Made With Love)- for your Made With Love pieces. The Lesli Kathman Challenge (sponsored by Blackberry Lane Studio) for CM glazed pieces by Lesli The Velasquez Artistry Challenge (sponsored by Velasquez Artistry)- for your VA pieces The Marcherware Challenge- (sponsored by Marcherware)- for your OF & CM Marcherware horses The Para Ceramics Horses Challenge (sponsored by Para Ceramics) for any pieces glazed by Marge Para The NEW Fantasy Animal Challenge- for your Pegasi, Unicorns, Etc... (may be split between CM & OF depending on entries) BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! We have a couple challenges with multiple classes! (Classes may be split at judge’s discretion) The Japanese & Similar make Challenge Division and The Other Animal Division (sponsored by Bonnie Elber with awards by Laf N' Bear) Collector’s Classes: Collector’s classes are as educational as they are fun and BOYC is happy to offer a taste of this tradition. We encourage you to include reference and cataloging information in your displays- tell us why your horses are collectable, so we might learn something while we drool! We have 2 collector's challenges this year- Once again, Sponsored by Animal Artistry & Alchemy, we proudly present these popular challenges: The AAA Collector’s Challenges! Again, we have two this year! There will be a Mini’s Only AAA Collector’s challenge, and an Open (large & mini) AAA Collector’s challenge. The best collection of Animal Artistry and Alchemy pieces will win this year’s slot on the perpetual award! Plus there are other great prizes most graciously donated by AAA! Rules are as follows: Entrants will be required to enter one collection of no more than 6 AAA china items. Additional props may be used to display the collection, provided they don’t take up too much room. The collection will be judged on (a) 50% Condition/Collectability (b) 50% overall artistic presentation. The judge’s decision is final. Good Luck! VA Home
