Welcome!

Give a cheer for the FIFTH annual Bring Out Your Chinas! Huzzah! This year BOYC brings you a great many reasons for merriment.  As it is our fifth anniversary, we have a great deal in store for all of our participants. Check out the "Fun Stuff" page (coming soon) for anouncements regarding just what you have to look forward to- but then again, some things you'll just have wait for- there are going to be a few surprises!

Once again, we are going with a two day show format, and we are also holding the show at our usual venue, the lovely Holiday Inn, Carlsbad-by-the-Sea.

RULES AND REGULATIONS:


FIRST AND FOREMOST RULE: Pottery Only!
Your model must have been fired. Ceramic- Earthenware, Porcelain, Stoneware, and so on- all of these are good. Please do not bring your resins to this show. They will be disqualified. "Cold-Cast Porcelain" does not count either, as it is not really porcelain and will melt in an oven.

OTHER RULES & STUFF:

This is an open, all-halter show. Everyone is welcome! However, you must register first (see Registration page).
There are five NAN-qualifying (pending) divisions in this show:
1. Large Production Original Finish American Pottery
2. Large Production OF European Pottery
3. Alchemy Minis
4. Test/ Small Production OF
5. Glaze Custom
Plus: We have an expanded Challenge Division, including:
* A larger Japanese & Similar Make Challenge!
* Other Animal classes!
* Photo Division

ALL Divisions are for Original Finish (OF) models, except for the Glaze Custom division, or specified challenges.

OTHER NOTABLES:
  • This will be a NAN qualifying show! All 1st and 2nd placing models in the regular halter classes will qualify for the North American Nationals, providing...
  • There is a limit of 3 models per class, per shower (excluding some challenge classes).
  •  Please do not cross enter between breed classes OR divisions (excluding the Challenge Division).
  • Repaired models are welcome in this show; however, noticeable repairs may mark lower.
  • One 3"x5" card is required per model(see show packet for example).
  • In regards to the show hall, there is no eating, smoking, or pets allowed. A water service will be available, and a lunch break long enough to eat decent food will be given. Thank you!
